Morning: On your mid-morning arrival in Delhi , you’ll be welcomed at the airport by one of our team and driven to your Hotel.
Day: Once refreshed, you can spend the afternoon sightseeing in the hustle and bustle of Delhi and it’s markets and famous monuments.
Day: No trip to India would be complete without experiencing a journey by train. You’ll be driven to pick up the morning train from Delhi to Haridwar, passing through some breath taking scenery on the way and being treated to a cross-section of Indian life through the window.
Evening: A driver will meet you and take you to Rishikesh where you’ll stay overnight in one of the traditional hotels.
Day: Rishikesh is a true cultural gem and you’ll have the chance to watch or join in with one of the famous yoga Ashrams.
Evening: Most travellers spend the evening on the banks of the Holy Ganges river to experience the magical evening ceremony where there is lighting of candles and the singing of “Long Live Mother Ganga” under lamplight.
Day: You’ll take a short morning flight to Amritsar, on arrival you’ll have the chance to visit to the Golden Temple where you’ll can learn about the history and beliefs of the Sikh faith.
Here the famous kitchen provides free food to more than 40,000 people each day.
Later in the day, you’ll also visit the hugely entertaining evening Border Flag Ceremony between Indian and Pakistani service personnel at Wagah.
Evening: Your overnight stay will be in Amritsar.
Day: This is the start of your travels towards the majestic Himalayas and there will be stunning views during your drive from Amritsar to Chandigarh.
Your destination will be a spa hotel in Moksha in the foot hills of the Himalayas.
Day: Boarding the narrow-gauge Toy Train to Shimla you’ll pass through the terraced fields, Alpine forests and rhododendron glades, with views of local people farming and tending cattle close to hilltop villages.
There are many lovely hotels in Shimla and you will have plenty of time to relax and enjoy some local Indian hospitality.
At its peak, there were many British civil servants based in Shimla with many titles.
Day: Even today walking around this British Raj Capital, you’ll get a good sense of what it would have been like during that period.
The architecture will transport you back in time and you can visit some of the memorable buildings and picnic in the woods overlooking the town and the Himalayan foothills behind. '
Evening: We organise a gala dinner in the old palace and for those who like history, a chance to attend a lecture and slide show on Shimla.
Shimla has plenty of places to visit and shops where you can pick up souvenirs to take home.
Morning: After a morning walk around the mall and town, we’ll take a short drive to Naldehra for tea that will include a visit to a local village.
Evening: Overnight in Shimla.
Day: Final day in Shimla markets and enjoy the sightseeing of Jakhu Temple
Evening: shopping the local streets of Shimla, stay in the Oberoi Cecil Hotel, Shimla.
Day: You’ll retrace your steps by taking the Toy Train or road from Shimla to Chandigarh where you can do some afternoon sightseeing to the famous Rock Garden and tea in Chandigarh.
Evening: Train to Delhi.

The Taj is easily reached by fast train and you’ll have plenty of time to marvel at this world heritage site.

Day: Today take your time to visit a few markets of Delhi and enjoy your day in the heart of New Delhi.
Overnight: hotel.
Early drive to the airport and flight home.
