You can’t pick an Expedition Leaders Adventure off the Peg!

We 100% tailor-make our itineraries and because we know India & The Himalayas so well we can support you at every step of the planning stage to ensure a safe, rewarding and memorable expedition.

We have taken Travellers on Himalayan routes over 6,000 metres but for those who prefer Cultural Experiences, we have also organised train journeys to India’s ‘Holy City’, Varanasi, on the banks of the Ganges. We have the local knowledge and resources to make it all happen.

Building Your Expedition

Travellers usually build an expedition from one or more activities: Trekking, Community Projects and Cultural Sites. Our expeditions vary in length, but are usually between 10 days and 3 weeks. Have a look at a few of these itineraries to get you started

Where & When to Go

Making Your Adventure Happen

We will help you through the 3 stages to make your adventure happen: Planning, Booking and Preparing.

1) Planning

We help you get the right mix of activities for your group. Most of our Travellers take several weeks, or even months, to tie down their perfect expedition. Speaking with us first s the best way to do this: someone who will listen to your objectives and suggest some possible itineraries. Need a little help to get you started ?

Where & When to Go

Most school expeditions start with a multimedia talk at your school with Teachers and Students, on Indian and Himalayan topics that support curriculum learning. The talks are usually run in the early evening and take half an hour, with time for informal questions and discussion afterwards

2) Booking

Once we’ve got an itinerary, we’ll confirm this is writing along with a fully inclusive price (typically covering pre-trip briefings, all flights & transfers, guides & porters, trekking equipment, accommodation, transport and meals). For school groups of more than 15 Students, one Teacher travels free. We’ll let you know at this stage what, if anything, is not included.

Once we receive your confirmation back and a 50% deposit for each Traveller, we will book flights and get your expedition started….

3) Preparing

An adventure with Expedition Leaders starts well before you jump in an aeroplane! In fact, most Travellers love to spend time planning their adventure before they go. We give plenty of support to all our Travellers: whether from Schools or Independent Travellers.

For Schools, we find that the more Teachers and Students are involved, the more they get out of it. We agree a structured plan well ahead of the trip departure that includes Teachers, Students and Parents meeting with Expedition Leaders to finally shape the trip, get properly prepared and ask questions that will reassure everyone about the expedition.
